Hystory of Epitalio

In the area there were found Mycenaean cemetery and ruins of Mycenaean house. The site was settled from the Mycenaean era. No finds of the Geometric and Archaic Period were discovered. During the 5^th century B.C. a new settlement was created which had the control of the river Alpheios. There are ruins of the city of Hellenistic and Roman years. The life of the city can be prolonged until the Late Roman Period.
